World Cup Qualifier! No Way For Norway, as Germany Trashes Them 6 – 0

Germany thrashed Norway 6 – 0 in a home game to stay top of Group C and maintain their 100% record in World Cup 2018 qualifying, making it difficult for the away side of the night to emerge from the group.

Mesut Ozil opened the scoring by firing in, before the Arsenal man turned provider for Julian Draxler.

Timo Werner found the net twice before the interval, after which Leon Goretzka and Mario Gomez both nodded in.

In the same group, San Marino were beaten 5-1 by Azerbaijan, while Northern Ireland clinched second place by beating Czech Republic 2-0.

This leaves Norway in no position to make it to the 2018 world cup in Russia.

Only one team qualifies automatically from each group in Europe while the second team gets a chance to qualify through play-offs.
