We Pass Una Well Well! Depleted Arsenal Team Defeats Chelsea to Lift Community Shield

Arsenal FC defeated Chelsea FC this afternoon to lift the Community Shield. This has ushered in the English Premier League 2017/2018 season.

The game ended 1 -1 with a late red card shown to Pedro of Chelsea due to a dangerous tackle on an opponent. Arsenal won the penalty shootout by 4 goals to one as only Gary Cahil managed to score his penalty kick while Morata and Thibaut Courtois lost theirs.

The Arsenal team that lifted this shield could be described as depleted because key players such as Sanchez, Francis Coquelin and Ozil did not play whereas Chelsea played their full squad except injured Eden Hazard.

View: This shows that Arsenal should really be in the Champions league and not the Europa cup where they will be competing eventually. It further shows that Arsene Wenger is a good coach, having defeated Chelsea with a weak team.
