These police officers thought they were having fun while taking photographs with leader of Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
But the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, sees this as double loyalty and said the officers will be punished for that.
The IG, who made this known on Thursday when he addressed policemen at the Police College, Ikeja during a two-day visit to Lagos, expressed his disgust over the action, adding that nationalism was important among police officers.
He added that taking pictures with someone who was challenging the unity of Nigeria was double standard and a show of lack of commitment to the country.
View: Do you agree with the IG of Police? Should the officers be punished?
