Update: Delta govt. shuts school where one-year-old pupil was flogged to death by teacher

Following the death of a one-year-seven-month-old pupil, Obinna Udeze, the Delta State Government has shut down Arise and Shine Nursery and Primary School, Asaba, Delta State,

Recall that the media had earlier reported how the toddler got his hands and legs tied before being flogged into a coma because he played with water and got wet.

Sadly, it was subsequently gathered that he gave up the ghost due to the wounds he sustained from the 31 strokes of the cane he received from his school proprietress, Mrs Ogbo.

According to Channels TV, the Delta State Commissioner for Basic Education Chika Ossai on Sunday said the school was not approved by the state government.
