Residents of Victoria Garden City, Ajah, Lagos State, Nigeria were shocked to see an unidentified couple suspected to be lovers walking naked around the estate on Sunday, June 12.
The lovers were walking around the estate unclad when residents alerted the estate management and security guards, reports PUNCH METRO.
The incident was recorded and posted on Instagram by a resident of the estate. The post read; “They are walking inside VGC, I kid you not, this is not a joke,” and this video clip was posted on the Instagram page of a television station, Sliverbirdtv.
It was learnt that some representatives of the estate mobilised to the location and accompanied the couple to their residence on Close 63 on the estate.
Reports have it that things took another turn when the lovers, while in their apartment, inflicted injuries on their wrists and necks in an attempt to commit suicide.
From another video clip on this same incident, some residents were heard engaging the duo as they laid on their bed.
The residents, while insisting on reporting the incident to the police, instructed the couple to get up from the bed.
The lovers were quoted as saying they would die and rise again after three days.
“Further investigation of their BQ apartment revealed some items such as illegal drugs and other substances. They were obviously under the influence of some drug abuse.
“Thank God for the swift response of the management, security and medical team who eventually sedated the victims and took them to a hospital around 12.45am,” the Instagram post read.
Also, a message the lovers pasted on the door leading of their apartment read, “If you open this door, you will be cursed.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the incident was not reported to the police.

Chairman of the landlords’ association at the Victoria Garden City neighborhood gave an update on the incident.
The chairman revealed that the lady the man was spotted with is an American who flew into the country in October 2021 to experience his “level of consciousness”.
The Chairman of the landlords’ association said after the security guards accosted the couple who were under the influence of drugs and also accompanied them to their apartment, they “slit their wrists and necks in what seemed to be a suicide attempt, saying they would die and rise again in three days.”
He said, “On Sunday, on our close, at about 11 pm, the Vice-Chairman called my attention to an ugly situation whereby two adults; male and female were seen walking around the estate completely naked.
“Our estate security and management personnel accosted them and accompanied them to our close (63) where the duo purportedly resided in a BQ. As the case may be, the situation soon got out of hand when both adults slit their wrists and necks in what seemed to be a suicide attempt, saying they would die and rise again in three days.
“Further investigation of their BQ apartments revealed some items such as illegal drugs and other substances. They were obviously under the influence of some substances (drug abuse).
“Thank God for the swift response of our management, security and medical team who eventually sedated the victims and took them to the hospital around 12.45am.
“The girl is a full American that came in from the US in October to experience the 5th dimension with the guy. They got home and slit their wrists and necks and their door had to be broken down. The hospital said they were both on Colorado (street name for hard drug), Canadian Loud (street name for hard drug), aka Mkpuru Mmiri (street name for hard drug).”
He added, “Before I got there, passersby had already taken pictures and made a video of the two young people. I am using this medium to tell people to stay away from drugs.”
The two love birds were discharged from the hospital after two days.
