University of Ghana closes lectures over flood (Photos)

Lectures at the University of Ghana came to a halt today due to heavy flooding on campus following a heavy downpour.

Lecturers at the institution could not carry out their daily routine activities today, Wednesday, October 30, due to the fact that the campus is flooded.

According to a statement signed by the University’s Director of Academic Affairs, Jefe Teye Onyame, attributed the flooding of the campus to the heavy downpour the country experienced lately.

“Students and staff are expected to remain safe in their homes and hostels,” it said.

Meanwhile, the University of Cape Coast has also halted activities due to the flood crisis on its campus.
