Truck conveying alcohol falls into ditch near Hisbah office in Kano (photos)

A Hilux truck had Tuesday evening, November 16, fell inside a ditch while conveying alcohol to an undisclosed location.

According to reports, the sad incident happened close to the Hisbah office in Panshekara, Kumbotso Local Government area of Kano State.

Fortunately, the truck driver and those inside it survived the accident but the driver sustained injuries in the incident.

Spokesmen of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Ibrahim Lawan Fagge, who confirmed the sad incident to Daily Trust, revealed that its operatives have packed the broken bottles as well as other crates of the alcohol.

The PPRO said;

“Our operatives in that Local Government have been targeting the truck movement for long, until that fateful day that it had lone accident close to our office.

Our findings have so far discovered that the Hilux driver has been using the truck, camouflaging as a security vehicle to convey the alcohol.

So far, we have seized the vehicle, packed all the bottles to our headquarters at Sharada.”
