Sports programmes keep a good number of listeners loyal to radio and television stations. Anambra state has so many sports fans who stay tuned to their radio and television stations to keep in touch with developing sports stories. This makes sports presentation a serious business since it is one of the major ways to keep broadcast media audience loyal to a station. Some sports presenters have made their mark in the business of sports presentation. Here’s a list of most popular sports presenters in Anmabra state.

 

11. NWADIKE CHIVENDOR – UNIZIK 94.1 FM, AWKA


This is another wonderful sports presenter. She works with Unizik FM. She is there doing what she knows best, achieving desired goals. She is among the top female sports presenters in the state.

10. IKENNA NWOKEDI – UNIZIK 94.1 FM AWKA


He is also known as Ikoski. He is a vibrant young man who is ever ready to deliver. He presents current sports stories to audience understanding. Ikenna has also worked in several media houses and that makes him experienced and popular as well.

9. PRINCE UGONNA EBERE – ABS T.V/RADIO AWKA

Prince is a handsome young man who is dedicated to his work. He is not only a sports presenter, but he also anchors other programmes such as Youth Today (a programme that discuses all that concern the youth), Good Morning Anambra and also reads news.

8. Jude Aguzie – Radio Sapientia 95.3 FM,  Onitsha

Jude Aguzie popularly known as J.J Agada Aguzie is a versatile performer who combines Music, Dance and News Presentation. He is multi-talented and national award winning Playwright who has written short stories and Documentaries.
J.J Agada Aguzie holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre and Film Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He hails from Urualla in Ideato north local government area of Imo state and currently works as an OAP in Radio Sapientia FM 95.3 FM Onitsha, Anambra state. He co-presents “Sapientia Fan Zone” with Ifeanyi Orakwue.

7. Ifediora Victor Tagbo – Blaze 91.5 FM, Oraifite

Ifediora is one of the most prolific sports presenters in Anambra state. His presentation style is lively, especially whenever he engages other members of his sports gang in current discussions in sports at local and international level. He presents sports programmes on Weekdays in English language from 9am to 10am and in pidgin English in the evenings from 5pm to 6pm. Ifediora and his sports gang keep so many listeners always tuned to Blaze 91.5 FM.

6. ASIKA IKEMEFUNA – OGENE 98.3 FM, AWKA


Ikemefuna is also known as Senior. He has worked in several media houses. He presents sports news in both Igbo and English language with details of every trending news in sports and that makes him special and popular as well.

5. Kachi Okafor – 88.9 Brila FM

Kachi is a female OAP/Presenter in Sports radio 88.9 Brila FM, Onitsha, Anambra state.
She studied English and Literature in University of Nigeria, Nsukka and hails from Awka, Anambra state. Kachi is a resounding show host who has great flair for football. She is easily the best female sports presenter in the state. Kachi keeps a lot of sports lovers glued to Brila FM Onitsha everyday because of her lovely, lively and engaging style of sports presentation.

4. CYRIL SHEDRACK – NTA CHANNEL 5, AWKA


Cyril is also known as Mega Money. He presents sports news with a captivating voice that will make you feel his presence. He has also worked with several media houses which makes him an experienced sports presenter. Mega money is truly grounded in sports at both local and international level and has passion for his job as a sports presenter. Football fans love listening to his analysis of sports issues.

3. Ike Lord Aligo – Brila 88.9 FM

 

 

Ike Aligo anchors an unprecedented Igbo sports show known as “Egwu Ekere” at 88.9 Brila FM.
He is popularly known as “Aligo Mmanwu”.
Egwu Ekere could be said to be the flagship of Igbo sports broadcasting.The programme is done mostly on weekdays. Aligo is easily the best indigenous language sports presenter in the Southeast zone of Nigeria. He makes international sports news very easy to understand through his unique way of engaging listeners in Igbo language.

2. Ifeanyi Orakwue – Radio Sapientia 95.3 FM,  Onitsha

Ifeanyi Orakwue, popularly known as “Huge man with a huge voice”, hails from Umuoji, in Idemili local government area of Anambra state.
He holds a B.sc in Geology from UNN.
Huge man has great passion for sports which made him the Anchor man of sports programme in Radio Sapientia 95.3 FM, Onitsha.
The programme widely known as “Sapientia Fan zone” is scheduled Mon. – Fri. at 1pm to 3pm each day. The programme is co-anchored by J.J Agada Aguzie.

Clive Sugar George a.k.a “The Sugar man” is a sports presenter/OAP with Sports radio, 88.9 Brila FM Onitsha, Anambra state.
He is a vibrant and exciting presenter who delivers sports programmes, especially football shows, in a unique way to the extent that even those who are not really football lovers feel the need to listen to the programme. His programmes are usually mid-days and evenings. His programme “Popular Side” is a household show among football fans in the entire Anambra state. Sugar man, also known as Double Sugar George is easily the best sports presenter in the state, and indeed the entire southeast Nigeria. If you listen to him once you will surely want to keep tuning in to his shows.
