Top 10 Female On-Air Personalities In Asaba

Asaba, the capital city of Delta State has a broadcast media landscape that is ferociously competitive. Radio and television stations use innovative programmes with captivating On-Air Personalities (OAPs) to compete for audience attention, interest and loyalty. The battle for supremacy has come down to arena of OAPs where presenters with exceptional voices and interest-catching swag get the audience glued to radio or television sets. People in Asaba practically tune in to radio or television stations basically due to the captivating performance of OAPs in such stations. Some OAPs standout among others because of the heavy traffic their programmes draw to their stations. Here is a list of Top 10 OAPs in Asaba.

10.NKIRU OKAFOR(KIKI) BRIDGE RADIO 98.7FM


At number 10 is Nkiru Okafor, popularly called Kiki or NK. Her career in broadcasting spans 10 years having started it on a whim and not looking back since.

Kiki anchors “The ladies hang out”, from 10pm to 12am on Thursdays. She casts news, and anchors another programme entitled “Melody plane”, on Saturdays from 9:30am to 11am. It’s a call-in musical show whereby callers who get the questions they are asked correctly request that a song be played for them.

Kiki hails from Delta State. Her programmes attract heavy traffic to Bridge FM with a number of people tuning in because of her voice and and radio-friendly on-air mannerism. She is really a good presenter.

9. JOY OCHEI(J) DELTA RADIO 97.9 FM


At number nine is Joy Ochei, an amazing OAP who is referred to as J. She came to limelight several years ago after anchoring her famous show “Wednesday Morning Showers” on the radio, she also hails from Asaba in Delta State.

8.TESSY COKER – NTA ASABA


Tessy Coker is a senior OAP in the NTA Asaba, widely famous for her program tagged “issues” every Thursday where so many issues developing across the country are discussed. It is more like an interactive programme with guests and callers contributing to the show. She really gets her audience excited whenever they’re listening to her programme.

7. OZIOMA EJECHI (OAP APHRODITE) HOT FM 96.5FM


At number seven is Ozioma Ejechi, an OAP who has become a household name in Asaba because of her “The People’s Assembly” show which airs from 8:30am to 9:30am. She is another top OAP in Asaba famously known for her sonorous voice and keeping listeners glued to radio sets. She has a unique way of getting the audience engaged during her show.

6. VIVIAN ISIOMA GBUNNOR (ADADIORAMMA) BRIDGE RADIO 98.7 FM


Vivian popularly known as Adadioramma is a graduate of Counselling Psychology from the Delta State University, Abraka. She is an OAP known for her daily Igbo Program “Izu Anioma” with accolades for voice clarity and quick wits.

5. ADA EJECHI (RADIO GODDESS) – Hit 96.5 FM,  Asaba.


At number five is Ada Ejechi, a seasoned OAP who works with HOT 96.5 FM Asaba. She is popularly referred to as “The Radio Goddess” because of the so much muse and teachings she dishes out to her listeners especially on her evening showers.
Ada Ejechi who hails from Delta State is a Masters degree holder in English Studies and currently pursuing a PhD degree in the prestigious University of Portharcourt.

Ada is a blessing to many as an OAP because of the nuggets of wisdom she dishes out which energizes listeners and encourages them to face challenges that come their way.

4.ROSEMARY IZUKA (DEEVA) TREND FM 100.9FM


At number four is Rosemary Izuka popularly known as the Deeva. She is a renowned OAP, who came into limelight for her thrilling break time show (BTS) every Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 2pm. She is also known for her Infectious laugh and humour that eases stress. Listeners love her show basically because it keeps them in a lighter mood during the day,  helping them to ease off pressure. Rosemary is one OAP you should strive to listen to her programme.

 

3. DEW JEMIMA WILSON (DEW DIVA) DELTA RADIO 97.9FM


At number three is Dew Jemima Wilson, an entertainer and also a renowned OAP in the Voice of Delta radio. She is famously known for her “JAZZ NIGHT” and “WEEKEND JAMBOREE” programmes. She has captivated hearts for good through her interesting and entertaining programmes. Dew hails from Delta State. She is one OAP you should always keep in touch with whoever she’s on air. Truly a fascinating and captivating presenter.

2. AKPOMIEMIE UFUOMA (BETA PIKIN). TREND FM 100.9FM


At number two is Ufuoma Akpomiemie, fondly called Beta Pikin by her friends and listeners. She is one of the best hands at Trend 100.9 FM and one of the voices listeners can just not do without. Ufuoma is known for her Trend Villa family show at she adopts the role of a little good girl with her tiny and sonorous voice that thrills the audience who keep asking to meet her. Ufuoma presents one of the most sought-after shows among broadcast audience in Delta and neighbouring states.

1. AMENZE IGIEBOR ANYARU – NTA ASABA


At number one is Amenze Igiebor Anyaru. She is a very renowned and seasoned OAP. She is a grammarian and as English Guru who anchors various programs such as Standpoint, and Issues, two programmes which are among the shows that keep the bulk of NTA Asaba audience loyal to the station. Amenze who hails from Edo State Nigeria is one OAP whose on air and off air personalities are exquisite and audience-friendly.
