Too Bad! ASUU Rejects FG Invitation to ‘Peace’ Talks

Hopes of an early end to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have fade as the Union turned down an invitation by the Federal Government to a meeting scheduled for today.

News reports from Channels Television, ASUU President, Biodun Ogunyemi, confirmed that the union will not attend the meeting.

In another interview monitored on Nigeria Info FM, Port Harcourt, the ASUU President said the Union had given the Federal Government a summary of what the branches agreed should be done for the union, adding that government should go and study the report.
