Professor Charles Soludo, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has addressed Anambrarians after his victory in the State governorship election.
Recall that a supplementary election was held in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, November 9.
After the election and counting, Soludo was announced the winner of the election since he won 19 of the 21 local governments areas including Ihiala LGA.
Giving his acceptance speech this morning, Soludo said;
“Let me say that with utmost humility and gratitude to God, I accept the result of the 2021 Anambra governorship election, as declared by INEC.
And this reflects the supreme will of the Almighty God and the overwhelming sacred mandate of the people.”
Going further, the new Governor paid tributes to the three policemen killed by gunmen during his campaign.
He said;
”At this moment we must remember and must continue to remember all those who died during the course of this moment, especially the three policemen who were killed by unknown gunmen during our town hall meeting with youths in my ward.
May God continue to grant their souls eternal rest”
