That She Is Vulnerable Does Not Mean She Is “Rape-able”!

The message is loud and clear! This anti-rape photo shoot is saying that no woman is rape-able no matter how vulnerable you think she is. In this era where rape cases against the so-called vulnerable girls is on the increase, this deafening photo shoot is saying no woman should be raped for any reason, even if you think the fault is hers, whatever that means. The word “rape-able” is a coinage which means “can be raped” and they are saying no girl or woman should be raped because none is “rape-able.”

Students of Mass Communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University are sending the anti-rape message across to the entire world in a unique manner – “No woman is rape-able”. (This work was done by the students in 2018).

The picture shows a girl being raped by a boy, as she was held back by another boy. She is probably a hawker (among the so called vulnerable group) and her tray of gala is by her side. These days you hear stories of kids raped by father, uncle, cousin or strangers because they are vulnerable. This informed the anti-rape campaign by these students who are stating clearly that there is no such thing as being vulnerable and rape-able. Don’t rape her because you think she is vulnerable.

The message is clear. Well done guys!

Below are two other photo shoots on domestic violence which is also a ‘trending’ vice in the society today.
