CBN Hostel Premises at Night

Female students of Chukwuemeka Odumegu Ojukwu University (COOU) have condemned night activities of some occupants of one of the institution’s female hostels called CBN Hostel.

Some students who spoke to our correspondent on the basis of anonymity frowned at the attitude of some girls who encouraged men to drive into the school premises at night to carry female students for all night fun.

The students said that if girls stopped following men in such cars at night, the men will stop driving into school for that immoral purpose.

In an interview with a 300 level English student who wants to remain anonymous, it was gathered that different kinds of men with different cars are always parked in front of the hostel in search of girls for the night.
Another student said the Prostitution which now appeared more common was basically done in search of fun and money, adding that the girls should face their primary purpose of coming to school which was to acquire quality education.
“Some of these girls engaged in this form of prostitution do so on contract and people who normally patronized them are rich men. What these rich men do is to contact these girls through an agent. These agents are like normal students,” a source said to the reporter.

The source called on the university management to put measures in place with a view to stopping such activities as such night acts were not good for students’ security.
