Troubled President of South Africa. Jacob Zuma yesterday, survived an attempt to oust him through a vote of no confidence.
In the bid which was led by the Democratic Alliance party, 198 legislators voted against the motion to remove Jaco Zuma while 177 voted in favour of the motion, according to Herald newspaper. A total of 384 votes were cast through secret balloting with 30 ANC Members of Parliament (Zuma’s own party) voting for him to be removed from office. A simple majority of 201 votes where required but that didn’t happen. Jacob Zuma has survived again but is still under pressure.
