Shocker! Enugu Broadcasting Service Website is in isolation center, last updated January 2018

As we continue to bring you analysis of official websites belonging to state owned broadcasting organizations, we present a website that seems to have been abandoned in an isolation center for years, even before the Covid-19 pandemic began. You may need to ask again, what is the essence of having a website if not to keep it updated? If these state-owned stations understand the embarrassment they are bringing to themselves by allowing a poor website to remain out there as their official website they will cover their faces in shame.

Enugu is the regional capital of the South East geopolitical zone. It is the hub of almost every activity in the zone including broadcasting.

Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS) is supposed to be at the forefront of broadcasting with exemplary quality that is not even supposed to be associated with State owned stations. This is a state where some of the best radio stations in the entire South East exist. In today’s digital world, what ESBS has as a website is a total embarrassment to the field of broadcasting and a show of shame in a very competitive broadcast media landscape which exists in Enugu. It is a direct statement that the entire station is tired of existing as a broadcast establishment.

The only news posted on the website, which is not news per say, was uploaded in 2018. That was posted on Jabuary 22, 2018. That seems to be the only update on the website. What a total embarrassment.

Checkout the website below and weep afterwards for broadcasting in Nigeria;
