As Nigerians were busy celebrating Super Eagles qualification for the 2018 World Cup at Russia, Zambia on the other hand have been left to mourn with their winger, Augustine Mulenga, who lost his twin daughter, on Saturday, October 8th.
According to reports, the winger was at the field of play representing his country against the Super Eagels of Nigeria, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, the same day the daughter died.
Mulenga scored a goal, but it was disallowed by the referee.
Officials knew the winger lost a daughter but could not tell him because he offered hope in helping his country qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The sad news was disclosed to him after the match and the player was comforted on arrival from Nigeria.
The little girl has been laid to rest today, at New Leopards Hill Cemetery.
