The Super Eagles of Nigeria may face a daunting task coming through the group stage of the Russia 2018 World Cup when the competition gets underway.
The African Giants have found themselves in Pot 4 of the World Cup grouping meaning they are most likely to be in the same group with FIFA ranked-A teams like Brazil, Germany, France, Spain or England.
The 32 teams were seeded into 4 pots, meaning 1 team from each pot will combine to form a group of four.
Russia, the host of the tournament, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France are in Pot 1.
Spain, Peru, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Croatia are seeded in Pot 2.
Pot 3 has Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica, Sweden, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal and Iran.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are seeded in Pot 4 alongside Serbia, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Panama, Korea Republic and Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria will face one team from each of Pot 1, Pot 2 and Pot 3.
No two teams from the same confederation will be drawn together in the same group. The draw will be announced on Friday, December 1, 2017.
