Sub-standard work done by some local contractors in Nigeria has continued to pose serious problems. On Thursday, May 3, heavy rainfall wreaked havoc at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. The rainfall removed some path of roofing at the 400 series of Alvan Ikoku boys hostel.
The students residing in that part of the hostel are now at full risk of getting drenched by the next heavy rain fall if nothing is done by the University management in the shortest possible time.
Exactly what happens when the University cannot hire good construction companies for projects or buildings as important as hostels that houses alot of lives!!! What if a student or students were hurt?? Godforbid!!
