We continue to celebrate the victory of Barrister Emeka Okpala’s daughter, Maristella, who recently became Miss Earth Nigeria after defeating 16 other beauties in a keenly contested event.
Barrister Okpala who is a lecturer at the Department of mass communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) is grateful to all, especially graduates of Mass Communication department in COOU who supported his daughter Maristella, while she prepared for the event.
Now that Maristella will be heading to Philippines to represent Nigeria in the Miss Earth World event, Barrister Okpala wishes that a number of ex-Mass Comm students whom he still sees as part of his family would be in Philippines.
When massmediang asked him if he would have loved to sponsor at least five graduates of Mass Communication to the event, he said, “Of course, I would love to do that but finance is the challenge now. If I had the money I would love to sponsor even 20 of them but no money o! I just want to thank everyone who encouraged my daughter while she prepared for the event and during the contest. It’s a great victory for all of us. God bless you all. ”
If you’re reading this because you want to be sponsored to the Philippines, you think you’re wise. The man no dey send anybody there o! Money no dey for now. But he is grateful that you really want to support Maristella even at highest level which is the Miss Earth World event.
