Quacks! Two Buildings Collapse within 24 hous in Imo State

Sequel to alleged involvement of non-professionals in construction work, a four storey and three storey buildings under constructions have collapsed within 24 hours at Ulakwo Junction in the Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.

The buildings are located along the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Road in Imo State. The three storey building which had collapsed about 24 hours after the four storey building is believed to be an extension of a hotel at Hospital Junction area of Umuguma in the Owerri West LGA of the state.

Details are still sketchy on whether lives were lost as rescue mission had yet to start.

The incident which happened on Friday had left eyewitnesses and observers alike blaming the incident on the poor quality of work carried out by the site engineers.
