According to politicsngr, the video made available to PoliticsNGR shows Nigerian soldiers ordering some captured members of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) to swim in a puddle of Mud. One of the IPOB members is seen lying on the ground motionless.He reportedly died from gunshot wounds.
Again, we state that there is no way to verify the contents of the video but recall that men of the Nigerian Army are currently embarking on Operation Egwu Eke (Python Dance) 2 in the South East zone, an exercise targeted at curbing crime in the zone.
Meanwhile the Nigerian Army has officially reacted to this video in circulation, stating that the they are aware of the video but are currently investigating it. In a response monitored on Channels Television, the army said the outcome of the investigation would be made available to the public.
The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman in an interview with Channels Television, said that the matter was being investigated by the General Officer Commanding of 82 Division, adding that the findings will be made available to the public.
