The political atmosphere continues to get more controversial by the day with the recent endorsement of Governor Willie Obiano by former Vice Prresident, Alex Ekwueme.
Latest in the political game is that the National Coordinator APGA media warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe, Friday, described Dr.Alex Ekwueme’s reaffirmation of his support for Governor Willie Obiano’s second term bid as ‘an upper cut blow’ on People’s Democratic Party, PDP noting that Peter Obi and other members of PDP who picked Ex-vice president’s daughter as Oseloka Obaze’s running mate under PDP should bury their heads in shame.
“Mr. Peter Obi should bury his head in shame as his political evil plot against Governor Obiano is falling like a pack of card”, he said. Dr. Ekwueme in an interview with Paul Nwosu, publisher of ‘Anambra Times Magazine’ allegedly said “the people of Anambra South cannot afford to wait for eight years; Governor Obiano deserves to be returned for the second term because of his commendable performance in office.” However, Obigwe described Dr Alex Ekwueme as a character that wanted the best for his State, adding that his courageous characterisation has always mapped him out from other elders who stay at home and watch a she goat deliver in tethers. He commended his courage and boldness. Obigwe also congratulated Governor Obiano for winning best Teacher’s friendly Governor in Nigeria award, noting that the Governor has brought goodlucks to the State and that the people of the State will reject Oseloka Obaze, Tony Nwoye, Osita Chidoka and Godwin Ezemo on November 18th to keep the goodluck the Governor brought to the State moving.
