Owelle’s Owerri! See What Happens In Imo Capital City When Rain Falls

While people are praying for rain to fall either for their crops or a cool atmosphere, people in most parts of Owerri, Imo State capital surely fear that prayer point.

The spate of developments in form of road expansion happening at snail pace has exposed people’s homes and entrances to destruction.

People are losing their homes due to lack-luster road expansion and and construction.

The last heavy rain in Owerri almost uprooted people’s houses especially the ones close to the road because contractors working on numerous road projects in the city either abandoned the work or are operating at snail pace.

Some houses no longer have entrances due to gully erosion while some fences have collapsed due to destruction caused by contractors on the roads which were not fixed before the rainfall.

People are asking why it is now that the rains have become serious that Imo State government is beginning to embark on massive road expansion in the capital city.
