Uneasy calm is currently enveloping Owerri following a protest by Keke drivers over the ban by Governor Okorocha against Keke operations in the city. The protest turned violent. The pandemonium was worsened by angry Keke men who engaged Entraco men drafted to impound them.
Recall that Governor Okorocha’s December 1 deadline for operation of Keke within the city has since become effective. Those who flout the order have their Keke (tricycle) impounded by ENTRACO tax force.
