Outrage As Viral Video Shows Police Officer Beating Up Woman Carrying Baby

There is outrage in the social media after a viral video shows a police officer throwing punches on a woman carrying a baby.

The video shows the woman wailing and struggling with her baby while the punches landed on her.

The incident happened in a bank in Ghana and the police officer involved is attached to the bank.

 

What triggered the confrontation is unclear.
People who have reacted to the incident insist that the action of the police officer was totally unjustified.

The officer, identified as Frederick Amanor, is seen in a video striking the woman, who was holding her baby, multiple times on the head, first with an umbrella, and then with his fists.

The officer also lands several punches to the head of the wailing woman who appeared to be trying to withdraw GHc 250.

The video shows a bystander rescuing the baby from the incident as the officer drags the woman to the floor

Some social media users have demanded that the officer lose his job for assaulting the woman.
