Olubadan Installs UK-Based 20-Year-Old Student, 8 Others As Mogaji

Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji

 

The Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has installed an undergraduate student of Business Economics, University of Warrick Conventry, United Kingdom and eight others as Mogajis (family heads).

Some of the new Mogajis include Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee in Ogun state, Alhaji Ibraheem Olaniyan, and Chief Executive Officer, Asiwaju Group of Companies, who was installed Mogaji Fosun Paja, Ibadan.

Solomon Adegbola was installed Mogaji of Arogundade family, Ita Ege, Agbongbon, Ibadan.

Speaking to journalists, Olaniyan said his new role would enable him contribute more to the progress of the city.

“I thank Almighty God for making it possible. I pray to become Olubadan and that is my vision,” he said.

“Also, I crave for Ibadan State. I will start putting that in my prayers now. And I will work within my capacity and connections to realise the dream of having Ibadan State.”

“I am appealing to the youth to be good ambassadors of Ibadanland. We are known for peace and our forefathers had their names written on the rock as peacemakers. So, I am appealing to them to be law abiding citizens of this state and law abiding citizens of Ibadanland.”
