Nwansi Oraifite, the small but mighty masquerade (Video)

Nwansi Oraifite is one of the masquerades that are exclusive to Oraifite community in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The masquerade looks hilarious because of its shape and size but it is one of the rare species of masquerades which also commands respect at any event it appears.

Nwansi Oraifite does not look for people’s trouble at all but don’t just look for the masquerade’s trouble. It is noted for its peaceful moves. When it gets into an event it quickly leaves too. So you have to be very alert to notice when this masquerade has appeared in any event.
