Ace Nigerian Comedian, John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu is currently in Kenya to attend a peace concert, according to reports.
The concert is aimed at preaching peace, love and unity among Kenyans as they approach the August polls.
Elections in recent times are known to be violent in Kenya so officials are adopting various measures to preach peace in the country. This is the first time Nigerian celebrities will be attending such concert in that country.
The two day event begins today, Friday July 7, in Nairobi at Uhuru Gardens and ends tomorrow, July 8 in Mobasa Coast.
Mr. Ibu is said to be on the trip with other Nollywood stars – Tonto Dikeh, Kenneth Okonkwo and Bruno Iwuoha.
When the newsmen asked Mr. Ibu what brought him to Kenya, he said “Plane” before adding that the flight ticket he came with was from Dr. Nelson. On a more serious note, he said he came to Kenya to promote peace, “Why you dey fight? No need for violence. I support peace and that’s why I’m here and I’m advising all Kenyans to please embrace peace.”
