‘Nigeria’s second richest man is a chronic debtor’ – Chukwudi Iwuchukwu

Nigeria’s second richest man and the chairman of Glo, Otunba Mike Adenuga has 11 private jets at his disposal. His family is so rich that his favorite daughter and his only child he trust with his life and business, Bella has her own private that she flies the world with.

But for all that wealth, our Forbes billionaire does not like paying his bills and debts.

For many vendors who supply stuff to Glo, it is tales and woes as the man is owing them and has stubbornly refused to pay.

It is that bad that he owes security men who guard Glo towers all over the country.

Even when you sue him to court and court orders him to pay his gbese, he does not honour court judgment as he flouts court judgements with impunity.

Just this evening, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) was forced to shut down Globacom (Glo) facility in Wuse 2 Abuja over a N4.7 billion debt.

The exercise was led by the Director General of NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu, and was supervised by the Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika.

The DG said the shutdown will continue on a number of Glo’s Main Switch Centres (MSC) across the country until the telecom company commits to a payment schedule.

I wonder why a big man, a Forbes billionaire who has businesses that generate daily cash flow for him detest paying his debts. It is strange if you ask me.
