Super Eagles of Nigeria succumbed to Croatia with a 0-2 loss in their first Group D match at the on-going 2018 FIFA World Cup taking place in Russia.
Oghenekaro Etebo’s own goal and an Luka Modric penalty were enough to seal all three points for Croatia in the second group D game of the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Croatia now leads the group with three points while Argentina and Iceland who had earlier played out a one all draw are second and third with a point each while Nigeria is at the bottom of the group.
The Super Eagles had earlier shown some prospects in the game looking to outplay Croatia but their opponents experience ensured they ran away win the three points.
