The singer in his usual way of giving to the needy, donated the cash realized to orphanages in the country and also added his own N50m making the total cash N251m barely few days to his 29th birthday.
Describing the move as one of its best, Umukoro appealed to the singer to ensure even distribution of the cash to all the 36 states of the federation by keeping a close eye on the committees appointed to disburse the cash in order to avoid lousy motives. Adding that they ( the committees) should discharge their respective duties with utmost equity and fairness.
He, however, directed the attention of the singer and disbursement committee to give priority to the South South region of the country, stating that the number of orphanages in the region was much compared to other regions most especially Delta state, where he said number of orphans keep increasing by the day.
