The Nigerian National Television Authority, NTA, has caused a huge stir on the social media on a case of mistaken identity after it gave a Minister the tag of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, during its national news broadcast on Saturday.
The national television made a technical mistake while televising a live broadcast of the Minister of Communications, Hon. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, addressing the press and tagged him “President, Federal Republic Of Nigeria”.
Nigerians have gone on Twitter to frown at the mistake, stating it’s a “national shame”. See reactions:
This is to that NTA that claims to be Government owned are even unprofessional. If it were to be channels or AIT, then the govt will react with strong warning. But here is NTA. Still learning.
