Today was a big day in the career of 400 level students of Mass Communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), particularly in a course entitled “Environmental Communication.”
The students embarked on a dance rally within Igbariam campus of the University tagged “Save Tomorrow’s Earth Today”. It was the dance of Zombies from the future. It was aimed at drawing the attention of world leaders to the seriousness of the climate change issue. Scientists have said that in the near future the world will slip into what is called the “Hothouse Earth” when this planet will be uninhabitable.
Yet President Donald Trump is not interested in the climate change discussion. He pulled the USA out of the Paris agreement in 2015, an accord aimed at reducing green house gas emissions and addressing the global warming challenge.
The Zombie climate change dance official video is not yet out. It is something you can’t miss. The students are targeting world leaders, especially President Trump, urging them to do more to tackle green house gas emission. The rally was specifically for President Trump to change his mind and join the World leaders in the climate change battle.
See photos of the students getting costumes and makeup ready for the rally;
