Meet Mgbeafor Okereke, one of the twin babies saved by Mary Slessor over 100 years ago

One of the most prominent historical facts about Nigeria is that Mary Slessor, a missionary from Scotland, stopped the killing of twins in the country, precisely from her base in Calabar where she was Initially posted from Scotland by the Presbyterian church to work as a missionary. Well, she also stayed in Arochukwu in present day Abia State, at some point in her missionary work. There she saved many twin babies which is Mgbeafor Okereke, the only surviving twin among those of them saved directly by Mary Slessor while she was fighting to stop the killing of twins.
Rural news tourism took us to Arochukwu where we met Madam Mgbeafor Okereke and had an interesting chat with her.
