Romelu Lukaku has started showing sparks of why he is worth the amount he was paid for by scoring in his debut for Manchester United last night.

It was the first Manchester Derby played outside England. Lukaku and Marcus Rashford scored to beat Manchester City 2-0 in a pre-season friendly.

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola faced off in Houston as the two Manchester clubs went head-to-head on foreign soil for the first time.

Mourinho’s men had already picked up wins over LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake, while City were yet to play a pre-season game.

That little extra sharpness told as Mourinho’s men made it three wins out of three.
