Dino Melaye Reacts After Losing Kogi PDP Governorship Ticket To Musa Wada

The lawmaker representing Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye has lost the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election in Kogi state on Wednesday, 4th September 2019.
Dino Melaye lost to the younger brother of the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Engr. Musa Wada.

Engr. Musa Wada scored 748 votes, followed by Abubakar Idris with 710 votes, the former governor Captain Idris Wada came third, while Senator Dino Melaye came fourth.
Reacting to his loss on Wednesday night, Dino Melaye said it was ridiculous to declare the final results when his votes already sorted in eight out of 10 ballot boxes were missing. He said the outcome of the election is “totally” unacceptable.

“It is ridiculous to declare a final result of PDP Governorship primary election in Kogi State when my votes sorted out yesterday in 8 out of 10 ballot boxes are missing.

“Only to declare votes in 2 out of 10 ballot boxes as my votes. Totally unacceptable. Senator Dino Melaye.”

    The Electoral Tribunal Commission is there for cases like this,there should be no “buts” & “ifs”.Being totally unacceptable should propel him to plunge into action immediately without using thuggery as a solution.
