Law firm to withhold salaries of staff who don’t have PVCs

A Nigerian law firm has threatened to withhold salaries of staff who do not have PVCs.

This was conveyed in an internal memo dated June 8. The firm declared June 9 and 10 work free day to enable their staff get their PVCs.

This has generated mixed reaction on social media as some people are saying no one should force people to partake in an optional civic responsibility while others think it is the right way to go.

The veracity of the memo has not yet been confirmed.
