Commercial Tricycle operators popularly called Keke riders have until 12midnight today to have their last ride and vacate the city.
This is part of the city reformation policy of Imo State government which recently saw the demolition of Eke Ukwu Owerri market.
It was gathered that Governor Rochas Okorocha had given the Keke riders a deadline to stop operating in major parts of the city. The deadline says they should stop operating in the city by Tuesday, September 5.
It was based on this that the state government recently released about 2000 cars to the Keke operators so that they could switch to cab driving as a way of giving them soft landing.
