India is infamously known as the world’s rape capital. Almost every minute there is a rape incident in most cases, gruesome gang rape of helpless women. Another major incident involving a minor has just occurred where 7 men reportedly assaulted the girl in broad daylight. The incident which was filmed is currently buzzing the internet.
With the horror of Kathua rape still fresh in our minds, another ghastly incident has been reported from Bihar’s Jehanabad wherein seven men allegedly groped a minor, ripped apart her clothes and videotaped her ordeal.
The video of the incident has been doing the rounds on social media since Saturday night, following which the Jehanabad Police has arrested four of the seven accused.
The minor girl in the video can be seen pleading to her perpetrators while they enjoy taking turns in groping her.
Jehanabad’s Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar said a special investigation team (SIT) arrested four of the accused. “Others have been identified and a hunt is on to arrest them,” he said.
Taking cognizance of the matter, IG of Patna range Nayyar Hasnain Khan has formed a special investigation team to nab the other accused.
“POSCO Section 8 has been imposed on all the accused and according to evidences more charges will be added,” IG Nayyar Khan said.
He added that police is conducting raids at the location and they will soon talk to the victim’s family.
The police is believed to have traced the accused on the basis of a motorcycle that was recovered from the spot.
