Handsome Mass Comm Boy Wins Massmediang Award For Best IT Student

A final year student of Mass Communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Wisdom Okpara, has won the maiden edition of Best Industrial Training (IT) Student award given by Massmediang, an online news platform.

Okpara was selected among over 100 students after showing exceptional commitment during the 2018 IT programme which he did at Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Asaba.

He also met other criteria which were set by the Massmediang team in charge of the awards.

Okpara will receive a cash price of N15,000 set aside for the winner, including Agricultural products which are traditionally given by Massmediang during awards.

Other winners of outstanding IT students award are Ifunanya Obiechina, Mmesoma Okoye, Miracle Dike, Ekpereamaka Chukwuanu, Chinazom Alagbogu, Chiemena Alia, Ifeoma Irechukwu and Ifeoma Obidigbo.

Meanwhile, Chidimma Nwobu will be honoured as the Best IT Student for the 200 level (2018 IT) class. Though her level was not part of the competition, she is being recognized for going the extra mile to excel in a city newspaper and online blog at the same time. Among the stories that marked her out was an outstanding piece she did on the best sports presenter in the Southeast zone of Nigeria, Clive Sugar George.
