Hadiza was born in Libreville, Republic of Gabon in 1989. Her father is Gabonese while her mother is of Fulani ancestry from Adamawa State, Nigeria. Hadiza had her primary and secondary education in Gabon where she wrote her A-Level examination. Her initial plan was to become a lawyer but eventually studied and earned a diploma in French Language from Ecol de Francaise. She got a job as a French-language teacher in a private school which she enjoyed. Despite having a good job, her passion for acting kept stirring inside her until she had to return to Nigeria to fulfill that part of her life.

She began the search for a place in Kannywood shortly after she returned to Adamawa State, Nigeria from Gabon. Her dream of becoming a dominant face on Kannywood screens took a leap after she met with one of the best actors in Nigeria, Ali Nuhu and requested his assistance to show her the way around the movie industry. Hadiza made her debut in 2009, where she was cast in a movie entitled Artabu. Her performance was impressive, giving her the ladder she needed to the top of kannywood film industry. She has since participated in numerous films, and has become one of the most sought-after faces in Kannywood industry.

Charity work

Hadiza is among the few actresses who give back to the society in various ways in appreciation of the support to her screen career. In 2016, she founded a charitable organization called HAG Foundation which has the primary goal of improving the lives of ordinary people through provision of assistance in the educational and healthcare sectors as well as contributing to food security in the country. In March 2016, she visited an internally displaced persons camps in Kano State where she donated food items, textile materials and other tangible items needed by the camp’s inhabitants displaced by the northern Nigerian violence.
