Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has denied trending reports that he mapped out about N850 Million for construction of a Christmas tree in the state.
Reports have it that Okorocha made this remark today in a statement released by the government house media unit.
Details are still sketchy and would be provided as more facts unfold.
It could be recalled that rumours of the earmarking of N850 Million for Christmas tree by Governor Okorocha emerged after the state government began the construction of a Christmas tree at the government House Chapel in Owerri, a project which is still on-going.
The last Christmas tree constructed at the Freedom Square, Owerri in 2015 cost the state government N500 Million, as stated by the governor himself in a press interview.
