Femi Adesina is one of the few Nigerian journalists with impressive career pedigree. He is the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President Muhammadu Buhari. He is easily one of the most visible faces in President Buhari’s government by virtue of his position.
Femi has a career history that is truly inspirational. He began his career in journalism as a writer for Radio Lagos where his talent and flare for writing came to limelight. He left Radio Lagos to join Vanguard Newspapers. He also worked for the defunct National Concord Newspapers where he was editor before joining The Sun Newspapers. He also grew to become the editor-in-chief at The Sun. Femi was also the editor of the Nigerian Tribune at some point in his career. He was elected to serve a two-year term as president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors. Femi was re-elected for a second term as Guild president but he had to step down after receiving appointment in president Buhari’s government. He also stepped down as editor-in-chief of The Sun due to the same appointment. Femi was sworn-in as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Buhari on August 31, 2015.

He is member of the Foursquare Gospel Church where he is reportedly a pastor.
