Worried about the economic situation in the country, an evangelist has appealed to well spirited Nigerians to come to his rescue as his wife gave birth to quadruplet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi.
Speaking with the evangelist Ekene Ibe, at the hospital after delivery, he expressed his gratitude to God for blessing his family with quadruplet three boys and a girl, but however expressed concern on how to raise them judging from the economic situation in the country.
According to him, “immediately after the delivery somebody came where I was waiting and said to me congratulations father of four, I shouted Jesus! as I was not expecting four at a go. Actually we were told from the scan conducted in one of the hospitals in Nnewi that they were three but to my greatest surprise they turned out four.”
The evangelist who hails from Mbaitolu local government area of Imo state said that he works as an evangelist at St Barth’s Anglican Church Umuezeagu Uruagu, Nnewi, while his wife Mrs. Miriam Nkechi Ibe is a junior staff of Awka North local government, both live at Umuezeagu Uruagu.
Meanwhile both called for assistance from both the government and public spirited individuals giving their number as 08033030067.
Also speaking, the 31 year old mother of the quadruplets Mrs. Ibe said that this was her second delivery as she has a girl of about 3 years before the quadruplet came. She said that the first girl whom she gave her name as Chiamanda weigh 1.6kg, while the three boys Chimnachi 2.3kg, Chiziterem 2.2kg and Chimeremeze 2.kg. Mrs. Ibe whom thanked God for the gift of the quadruplets and the gift of good health.
