Drug Addict Hacks Son To Death With A Machete, Claims ‘Voices’ Told Him To Do It (Photos)

Tragedy struck in Punchong Permai, Malaysia, as a drug addict hacked his 5-year-old son to death with a parang, at their flat on Monday.  A parang is a single-edge cutter that looks like a machete.

The boy was sleeping in the living room when his 35-year-old father walked in and hacked him three times on the head and wrist.

The suspect who was said to be hallucinating, then placed the boy’s body outside of the flat, before locking himself in.

A witness contacted the police at 5.45pm after finding the boy’s bloodied remains near the 4th floor unit.

“An initial investigation revealed that only the suspect and the victim were at home when the incident happened. Police retrieved the weapon, a parang, in the flat,” Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari said in a statement last night.

The boy’s body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem.

Azlin said the suspect had claimed that “voices” told him to kill his son. “It is believed that the suspect is addicted to ketum. He also tested positive for methamphetamine. In addition, he has a criminal record related to drugs,” he added.

Azlin said police consider the case, which has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code, as ‘solved’ and that the suspect will be remanded at the Petaling Jaya court today.

  1. This is one of the reasons why we must intensify efforts in enlightening the public of the dangers and effect of drug abuse and addiction, it is quite unfortunate that the little boy lost his life, his dad might have gone mentally deranged. Say no drug abuse and addiction today.
