COVID-19: MTN is offering 300 free SMS to customers

Telecommunications giant, MTN is offering 300 free SMS for customers.

This is due to the lock down across several parts of the country as part of efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus.

A staff of MTN who spoke with Massmediang on the basis of anonymity said it was done in case you have ned to send emergency messages during the lock down.

Asked why MTN was not giving free calls to customers, the source said what they were giving for now was free SMS.

Once you send an SMS you will receive a message telling you how many free SMS you still have.

Users have commended the free SMS though they said it would have been preferable to have free calls too.
