COOU Mass Comm Scholar, Ephraim Ezebuenyi, Achieves Historic Academic Feat

A scholar in the department of Mass Communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Dr. Ephraim Ezebuenyi, has become the fifth scholar in entire South Eastern part of Nigeria to publish a research article in one of the top three journals in the field of communication in Africa.

Dr. Ezebuenyi’s article entitled Newspaper Framing of Biafra Agitation Under Buhari’s Administration and Its Influence on Support for the Struggle was published in African Journalism Studies (Equid Novi).

With this achievement, Dr. Ezebuenyi has become a refined top scholar who would be recognized as such with ease in any top University in Africa and beyond, where scholarship is supreme.

This publication has also added to the academic visibility of the department of mass communication in COOU, and this is a major factor considered in University ranking across the world.

Dr. Ezebuenyi already has over 50 publications in reputable journals in Nigeria and across the world but this article published in African Journalism Studies has lifted his department and institution to enviable academic level, invariably improving the university’s placement in world university ranking.
