Students of the department of Mass Communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) undergoing Industrial Training (IT) at Orient Daily Newspaper were taken on a visit the publication’s printing press. One of them was excited by what she saw and dropped this note about the visit.
A Visit to Orient daily printing press is something to talk about. The printing press was an impressive large storey building with various stages and kinds of printing jobs happening simultaneously.
The printing press not only printed newspapers but also other materials. There was the Web city express machine, Kord machine and the C-D machine etc. It was a surprise to see how fast the machines were printing millions of works in just an hour.
The important thing about the printing press was that it was dedicated to printing, binding and cutting; what came out of the place was the final material, completely packed and ready to be delivered to the publishers, clients and marketers.
The trip to the printing press provided far too much technical information for us. This is an experience every student on IT should have. Visiting the backshop provides knowledge that backs the theoretical aspect of the teachings in class.
wow!!! this is nice
Sometime last year I Visited The Vanguard Printing Press, it was as huge as this, it could print thousands of newspapers at once and very fast too.
Same applies to my workplace. They have two Cord machines that print newspapers, brochures etc.

Sure every printing press has big machines. I saw all those in the place I did my IT last. At the Christian Outlook newspaper Nnewi.
With this, that means they are really doing a great job.
