Can you believe this? Research shows 73 per cent Ugandans don’t wash hands after using toilets

Research by the Health Ministry of Uganda has shown that only 27 percent of people in that country wash their hands with soap and water after using the toilet.

The health Minister, Jane Ruth Aceng while making this known recently to the public, said that those who do not wash their hands after using the toilet were mostly men.

She said it was found that women were the ones that washed their hands after using the toilets, adding that men did not find a reason to do so. She then called on health agencies in that country to intensify awareness creation efforts on why it is necessary to wash hands after using the toilet.

NOT only in uganda but also in Nigeria,it’s rare to see someone wash his or her hand after using the toilet especially the public toilet.. I really think the health agencies should go round and enlighten people more on the need to wash their hands to prevent some certain diseases such as running stomach..
