Breaking! Massacre in Anambra as Unknown Gunmen Kill Over 30 Worshipers in Catholic Church

Bodies of some of the victims

Today has just turned into a gloomy Sunday to many families in Ozubulu, Anambra State. This follows the brutal killing of over 30 people who attended 6am Mass at‎ St. Philips Catholic Church in Amakwa, Ozubulu, Anambra State. The victims had attended the early morning church service and were worshiping when unknown gun men stormed the church and opened fire targeting their victims randomly. The number of dead victims is still unknown as some media platforms are reporting over 50 deaths. Several people critically injured are currently in the hospital.

Bodies of victims

One angle to the story has it that the gun men had arrived the church to assassinate a Billionaire son of the clan who was expected to have been in church that morning. When the assassins got to where the man normally sat, they couldn’t find him so they angrily open fire, sporadically aiming at innocent worshipers.

Information on this incident is still sketchy but it is already trending on various online platforms.
